Burn Permits

Outdoor burning permits can be obtained at your township hall. Coloma City does not require you to obtain a burning permit at this time, but please review their ordinance before burning. Burn Permits for Coloma Charter Township are now issued thru North Berrien Fire Rescue. To obtain a Burn Permit online please click on the Burn Permit link found in the menu above. Or you can call NBFR Office at 269-849-3409. Please leave a name, contact number, and address when calling.

The purpose of Burn Permits is to protect the people and property within our communities against health, safety, environmental and fire hazards caused by the burning near roads, streets, places, buildings and structures, both public and private; topromote the health, safety and general welfare of the community by regulating methods of burning of materials; to encourage alternative methods of disposing of natural andbiodegradable materials.
